PEGGY’S ATTIC

Rabbi Craig’s wife Audrey is overjoyed to announce that she will soon return to managing Peggy’s Attic, the donations cottage at Child Haven, where she will again be servicing the foster, adoptive and at-risk community of children and parents for Clark County.

She is going to need a whole lot of volunteer help, and she’s counting on the Temple Bet Emet Community to be a part of that help. Would you have 4 hours a week to donate working at the Attic? That could be one day for four hours, or four days at one hour per day helping to stock shelves, or helping parents and children look for clothing, toys or personal items.

Audrey hopes to have the Attic up and running in March. The Attic is located on the Child Haven campus, 701 N. Pecos, just north of Bonanza. If you are interested, call Audrey at (702) 266-5042

NEW MEMBER BRUNCH

“Oh! What a beautiful morning.”
Sunday, January 15th couldn’t have been better…

As the Temple Bet Emet Board welcomed our 2011 newest members to breakfast at the Durango Hills Golf Club.

Our morning began with an invocation by our wonderful Rabbi Craig, after our breakfast buffet (Yummy); we all got to know our Rabbi Craig a little more as he told us about himself, his family and his journey to becoming a Rabbi.

He told us to ask him anything, so…
Diannne Siegel, Marilyn Myers Barash, Gail Seligman, Stan & Maureen Sigal, Joel & Eileen Brody, Barry & Barbara Sklar, Mimi De Bevoise and the board did just that.

After a few words of welcome, I had the pleasure of introducing our Sister Hood President, Dr. Marilyn Miller.

Our temple President, Janet Seidel, as always had some beautiful words to bestow on us and introduced the Temple Board officers and members at large.

We hated to leave, there were a lot of Jewish Good Byes, but leave we did with promises from new members to take an active part in Temple Bet Emet.

Idele Kaplan
2nd Vice President, Membership Chair
